FIA Japan AGM Reception Report

Following its 38th Annual General Meeting on May 20, during which the FY2026 Board of Representatives and Board of Directors were elected (click here for the press release), FIA Japan held a networking reception at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. Over 100 persons attended the event, including representatives from the regulators, exchanges and other industry professionals, sharing drinks and light food in a casual atmosphere.

This year, we were honored to have Mr. Jesper Koll, Expert Director for the Monex Group and the Japan Catalyst Fund, deliver a speech to the audience as a guest speaker. His close interaction with the participants in both English and Japanese, sharing his insights on current and upcoming trends of the Japanese economy, were very well received and much appreciated.

We also had the great pleasure of being joined by Mr. Scott O’Malia, CEO of International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) and former Chairman of the CFTC, who shared a few greeting words with the audience, mentioning the potential for future collaboration between our Associations to further promote our shared mission of maintaining resilient and reliable markets.
