Japan Rising

We are proud to announce that a compelling International Conference will be held in Tokyo on July 25-26. This major event, organized by FIA Japan, with the cooperation of FIA and FIA Asia, will focus on the vital developments currently taking place in the Japan financial markets.

The Japanese Government and the Exchanges are now resolving the structural issues which will lead Tokyo to emerge as a true Financial Center in Asia. With the encouragement of the Regulators, the Japanese securities exchanges - TSE and OSE- announced their merger and plans for creating a comprehensive exchange, and the Tokyo Commodity Exchange and the Tokyo Financial Exchange are developing a new international strategy respectively. At the same time, the Government already submitted to the Diet an amendment to the law which will eliminate the “silos” that have frustrated the growth of the markets.  These developments have changed the picture for overseas players. HFT and other proprietary traders are now taking actions to enter the Japan markets.  Hear about this direct from the Exchange CEOs, Regulators and global market users.

We anticipate that 300 delegates from the US, Asia and Europe will attend this event. The venue for the conference and the Exhibition Hall is the completely rebuilt Palace Hotel which will have its grand opening this spring. This most famous luxury Hotel in Tokyo is ideally located directly in front of the Imperial Palace grounds.
