Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), a subsidiary of Japan Exchange Group, announced that it has reduced its registration fee for each commodity market to JPY 1 million, down from JPY 10 million, effective as of December 18, 2020. TOCOM also announced that it has removed its registered name amendment fee of JPY 1 million effective from the same day.

The purpose of the amendments is to develop an environment that facilitates the acquisition of TOCOM membership by various investors, as well as to expand the number of market participants, in order to better respond to their needs as a comprehensive energy market.
